About MeMy decision to become a doula came after many years working alongside pregnant women and new mothers as a medical anthropologist. I was intrigued by their personal journeys into motherhood and after completing my doula training, I knew I had found a place to put my calm, intuitive and nurturing strength to use. My goal as a doula is to help create a safe space for those who give birth and their partners as they journey into parenthood feeling equipped, empowered and educated. In addition to my doula work I am currently studying to be an RN and a Certified Nurse Midwife. **currently serving in the Philadelphia area** |
"Whatever way birth happens, it is your rite of passage into motherhood, and that passage is to be celebrated. Natural childbirth is a passage, cesarean birth is a passage, and birth with an epidural is a passage to be celebrated. That passage cannot be taken away from you. Every mother's birth experience is valid and an act of courage."
